The 14th annual Peace in Da Paint event took place at W.L Harris Playground, aimed at addressing youth gun violence in Fredericksburg. Co-founders Kentrale “Armani” Washington and Kisha Turner emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts through sports rather than violence, a message echoed by local leaders and law enforcement. The event featured games, music, and a variety of giveaways, including school supplies and gaming consoles, fostering community engagement. Participants received mentorship and support from various organizations, highlighting the need for collaboration to combat youth violence.
