Danville youth aim to find solutions to combat gun violence with upcoming town hall

Young people in Danville are organizing a town hall aimed at addressing gun violence within the community, titled “Voices for Change.” Scheduled for Thursday, July 31, at 6 p.m. at the Laura Lee Fellowship House, the event is fully organized by local youth and is supported by the non-profit Project Success. It aims to provide a platform for youth to share their experiences and propose solutions for preventing gun violence. The town hall will feature presentations, personal stories from survivors, and a Q&A session with community leaders, along with resources for counseling and support. Organizer Chase Clark, affected personally by gun violence, emphasizes the importance of youth voices in these discussions to create opportunities for ongoing community engagement and policy reform. The event is free and open to the public.
