7 arrested on gun charges in Philadelphia during AG’s task force sweep
Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the arrest of seven individuals for firearms offenses during a Gun Violence Task Force sweep in Philadelphia. The suspects, including a 16-year-old, were found to be in possession of firearms while on parole, probation, or without a license. Some of the seized weapons are linked to recent violent crimes in the state. Among those arrested was Askia Tisdale, who attempted to evade the police during a warrant execution. Other arrests included drug-related charges, with notable cases involving a drug-trafficking operation that yielded significant quantities of heroin and crack cocaine. Attorney General Sunday emphasized the task force’s success in enhancing community safety and the importance of removing illegal firearms from the streets.
