Long Island’s alleged ghost gun kingpin arrested, over 100 firearms seized in Suffolk County’s biggest weapons bust ever

An alleged gun smuggler has been arrested in Suffolk County for manufacturing and selling homemade firearms using 3D printers in the largest ghost gun bust in county history. Daniel Probeck, 35, was arraigned after police seized over 110 guns, 70 suppressors, 12 3D printers, and extensive gun parts and ammunition at his Medford home.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney stated that Probeck was operating beyond a typical firearms collector, engaging in illegal weapon sales for profit. Following a lengthy investigation, Probeck was charged with multiple counts of illegal firearm sales and possession. He pleaded not guilty and is currently held on a $500,000 cash bail, with a court date scheduled for August 5, facing up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
