Man fails to appear in London court for sentencing on fake-gun charges
Randeep Singh, 24, failed to appear in a London court for his sentencing hearing regarding charges of assault and the use of an imitation firearm. Singh had promised his lawyer, Robert Warren, he’d be present after discussing his case on Thursday evening. However, when his case was called on Friday, he was missing, with Warren informing the court that Singh’s phone was off and he couldn’t be located.
Previously, Singh pleaded guilty in November to utilizing an imitation firearm during a confrontation in a parking lot in September 2022. The court has already rescheduled his sentencing twice due to personal issues with Singh’s defense lawyer. An arrest warrant was issued for Singh upon the court’s assessment of the situation, expressing concern over his possible intentional absence.
