GUILTY: Shreveport Felon Found Guilty in Caddo Court for Gun Case
A Shreveport felon, Jeremy Jerome Jackson, was found guilty in Caddo Court for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Jackson’s trial included six witnesses testifying that he had a handgun while he was a passenger in a vehicle that attempted to evade police. The driver led the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) on a brief chase before reaching a dead-end, after which both Jackson and the driver fled on foot. Jackson was apprehended, and police discovered a handgun along his escape route. A DNA test confirmed that Jackson was linked to the firearm. With Jackson having a previous conviction for aggravated battery in 2012, he faces up to 20 years in prison at his sentencing scheduled for July.
